Madison CUSD #12
2011-2012 School Year
Our Mission at Madison is to “Maximize all students’ potential to be successful in the world”. Each year we target goals that help us accomplish this mission. The district will continue to improve student achievement through several initiatives.
- We will continue our efforts to integrate technology into the classroom. These efforts have been enhanced by the use of net book computers. The district received an E2T2 (Enhancing Education through Technology) grant during the 2010 – 2011 school year which provided net books for all students in grades 3 -12. The grant also provided professional development for teachers which increased their knowledge and skills in the area of technology.
- We will provide ongoing professional development for teachers to improve instructional strategies.
- We will provide additional academic assistance through after school tutoring to students who are below grade level in reading and math.
- Student progress will be monitored through ongoing assessments.
- Students will be provided with appropriate interventions as a result of assessments and analyzing student data.
- The schools and district will offer programs and events to promote parent involvement.
- The district will demonstrate fiscal responsibility to support effective programming.
